To help teachers and pupils get going with GIS through 'Make Maps', the interactive mapping subscription service, a new collection of materials is available for download below. These are for use in conjunction with the 'Make Maps' section of MapsDirect for School. To subscribe to this service visit the Sign Up pages; payment of a fee is required to use Make Maps. The materials are also designed for use in conjunction with the QCA Schemes of Work can be found at www.standards.dfee.gov.uk.

Practice Exercises
Familiarises users with the GIS-like tools in the 'Make Maps' interface, and provides a handy reference sheet which describes what each button does. Versions stylised for juniors and teens are available.
